Morning course in Dublin…let’s talk with Marie

M1Hi Marie, tell us something about yourself…

I’m 19 years old and I come from Rostock in Germany.  I’m passionate about music, especially metal and I play drums. And I love travelling because it allows me to get to know a different culture.

Why did you choose Ireland?

Firstly, because I’ve never been there before and I always heard lot of things about the lively attitude of Irish people. Then I was fascinated by Irish landscapes. Now I can confirm that the Irish are happy people and the landscapes are amazing!

Why did you choose Travelling Languages?

With my school in Germany, we were looking for an English course in a multicultural environment, a course that would really improve my English and Travelling Languages was perfect.Molly Malone - Copy

What kind of course are you doing?

I’m doing the Morning course; it consists of 20 hours of lessons per week.

What are the main differences that you noticed between your country and Ireland?

Well, they drive on the wrong side! Another thing that really strikes a chord with me is that everyone thanks the driver on the bus. In general, the Irish are helpful and happy; if you ask someone for some info, don’t expect just the info but a long long long speech!

What do you like about Dublin and what do you dislike?ddd

Temple bar, walking through the Phoenix park and squares. I really like that here there are lots of historical majestic buildings mixed with new buildings. It’s a bit like a city that never sleeps. However, I’m not a great fan of Irish food.

What’s your goal for the future?

To have more experiences like this one and for this reason I need to hold onto my English.

Thanks a lot Marie and best of luck for the future!!!
