50 errores que cometemos en inglés
Según los examinadores de Cambridge los españoles tenemos ¡hasta 237 formas de escribir mal la palabra “because”! Entre las palabras que más confundimos están: «assist» (que significa “ayudar” y no “asistir a un evento”), «actual» ( “de hecho”, no “actual”), «comprehensive» (“completo” y no “comprensivo”), «sympathetic» (significa “compasivo” y no “simpático”) y «fabric» (es “tejido”, no “fábrica”). ¡Cuidado con asociar significados de palabras a otras que se escriben parecidas en español! Por ejemplo en español “estar constipado” significa tener un resfriado, pero en inglés “to be constipated” significa estar estreñido…! ^^
Tambiés es muy común los errores al escribir palabras como «coffee» escribiéndola con una sola «e» , ó «business» cambiando mal la «s» de lugar y escribiendo incorrectamente “bussines”.
Hay que reconocerlo, ¡nos encanta añadir “The” en todas partes! “the people like the music” es incorrecto; sería simplemente: people like music. De la misma manera, en inglés se dice It’s time to go to bed y no “It´s time to go to the bed”.
Pero sin duda lo que más nos cuesta son ¡las dichosas preposiciones! Para las oraciones en las que nosotros utilizamos la preposición ‘en’, los anglosajones llegan a utilizar hasta tres preposiciones diferentes: in, on y at.

- Let’s meet on the street – Quedemos en la calle
- Let’s meet in my house – Quedemos en mi casa
